About · Cajun Innovative Solutions
Southern ingenuity and military discipline, applied to keeping New Orleans comfortable — from the shotgun double to the high-rise.
Our story
Thomas Adams is the founder and owner of Cajun Innovative Solutions. He launched the company after more than 40 years of high-level industry experience — with Fortune 100 HVAC mechanical and automation companies and in senior facility-management roles. Passionate about elevating industry standards, he’s also shared his expertise as an HVAC instructor at Delgado Community College, helping educate the next generation of skilled technicians.
Disappointed by the unskilled, unlicensed, and unsafe practices that routinely plague the residential market, he founded Cajun Innovative Solutions to give homeowners a trusted, high-caliber alternative — rooted in industry best practices and safety.
Outside of work, Thomas has been married for over 35 years and is a Christian and member of Franklin Baptist Church. A former volunteer with the NOPD Crisis Unit, he has five adult children and eight grandchildren he loves spending time with — and stays active as a regular at HOTWORX.
Self-performing
In the attic, in the walls, on the roof — the crew that scopes it is the crew that does it.
Why veteran-owned matters
Thomas’s approach was forged in the U.S. Marine Corps. He still points to a boot-camp drill where a squad had to lift and carry a massive log — if even one recruit didn’t give 100%, the weight buried the whole team. That’s how CIS is built: a crew of professionals and vetted subcontractors who operate as one, pairing technical skill and strict code compliance with integrity and real care for the customer. It’s not a marketing badge — it’s how the work gets done.
How we work
A simple methodology that’s also the differentiator — disciplined, documented, and measurable.
We start by listening and assessing — the building, the system, the actual problem in front of us. No assumptions, no canned answers.
A disciplined, documented process held to the same standard on a shotgun double as on a high-rise plant.
A measurable result you can verify — and an honest account of what we did and why.
Southern Ingenuity
“Southern Ingenuity” isn’t a slogan — it’s a habit. When the Omni Royal Orleans needed a rooftop unit replaced in a spot where a crane would have cost a fortune and shut down the block, we engineered a way around it. That’s the instinct we bring to every job: find the smart path, not just the expensive one.
